KWYR

KWYR was founded in 1957 with a group of investors owning the business, with the corporate name Midwest Radio Corporation. KWYR AM 1260 was the original station and began broadcasting in 1957. The FM station, 93.7FM, was added in 1971, and was originally a simulcast of the AM signal. In the 1980's, KWYR FM 93.7 originated its own Today, Midwest Radio Corporation has 4 stations, Country 1260, Magic 93, Rooster Country and Dells Empire Country, and is owned by Scott and Leslie Schramm. Our goal is to provide the most Local product in American Radio, and to satisfy our clients with the best in Customer Service. KWYR is proud to serve Central South Dakota along with Eastern South Dakota and we look forward to continuing that effort for many years to come! Format.
